DAY 3
ALIK VILLAGE – HAPIT VILLAGE – KHINALIG VILLAGE
Leaving the village after breakfast, we trek towards Hapıt village, following the Hapıt river. Upon arriving at Hapıt village, we explore the village and continue our journey towards Khinalig village. After a pleasant walk, we reach Khinalig village, where we stay overnight in a guest house.

Maximum altitude: 2500 m .
Finishing altitude: 2154 m
DAY 4
KHINALIG VILLAGE – GALAKHUDAT VILLAGE – GRIZ VILLAGE
After breakfast, we head towards the village of Griz. During our journey, we stop for lunch in the village of Galakhudat before continuing on to Griz village. As we trek through the Gudialchay canyon, we are able to see the beautiful Gur-gur waterfall. Continuing on, we reach the village of Griz where we explore the historical landmarks of the village. Our accommodation for the night is in a guest house in the village of Griz.

GRIZ VILLAGE – GRIZDAHNA VILLAGE
After breakfast, we leave for Grizdahna village. We continue our march down the road. After some time, we continue our way over the canyon of Gudialchay. We return to Griz village with our 4x4 car. We spend the night in Griz.

Height of Grizdahna village: 1475 m
Maximum altitude: 2300 m
GRYZ VILLAGE – LAZA VILLAGE
After breakfast, we continue our trek towards the village of Laza. We cross the meadows of the Mikhtöken range and make our descent towards the village of Laza. Upon arrival, we explore the waterfalls and the village before settling into our guesthouses for the night. We spend the night in comfortable guesthouses in the village of Laza.

Starting altitude: 2000 m
Maximum altitude: 2700 m
Finishing altitude: 1700 m
LAZA - KUZUN VİLLAGE - BAKU
After breakfast in Laza, we head towards Kuzun village. On the way, we visit the village of Chigirla, located on the banks of the Gusar river. We continue our journey and reach the village of Kuzun. Later in the day, we depart from Kuzun village and head back to Baku.

Starting altitude: 1700 m
Maximum altitude: 2380 m
Finishing altitude: 2380 m
We are completing our journey in Azerbaijan. We get prepared to return flight.

Arrival:
Day 1 is scheduled just for your arrival and check-in.
Therefore any flight arriving on Day 1, with enough time to arrive, make it to the hotel, and get some sleep, is a good choice.
If you would like to arrive a day or so early, that’s great! You can easily book an add-on for one extra night on either end of your tour. Let us know and we can book extra nights and/or additional activities. Or feel free to arrange things on your own and join the group when it’s time.
Departure:
Day 8 is scheduled just for your check-out and departure to the airport.
Therefore a morning / mid-day departure flight on Day 8 is ideal.

The weather will be relatively cold during the night, with the temperature ranging from 15 to 20 degrees Celsius on the highlands in AZERBIJAN region. There will be heavy rain at times, especially on the highlands, and the weather will be humid at times.

This is a 4-day trek with each day covering 14-17+ kilometers (8.5-10.5+ miles). That is five days in a row with 5-7 hour hikes.
So you should be reasonably fit to be able to enjoy this hike.

The ideal shoe for this hike is light-weight hiking shoes.
If you only have big-clunky hiking boots and running/athletic shoes, you could take both and see what you prefer on the hike.
