Lycian way
The Culture Routes Society (Kültür Rotaları Derneği) in Turkey is an organization dedicated to preserving and promoting hiking and cultural routes across the country. They work on mapping, maintaining, and protecting historical trails, ensuring that they remain accessible and well-marked for hikers and adventure travelers
I volunteered with the Culture Routes Society in Turkey for over two months, contributing to the development of new paths along the Lycian Way in southern Turkey. This experience, which took place three years ago, was truly unforgettable. As a team, we opened new trails and marked over 150 km of the route, enhancing accessibility for future hikers. The project was led by Kate, whose expertise and guidance made the experience even more enriching. I gained valuable knowledge and skills from this opportunity, and I hope to participate in a similar project again in the future."
